OTS: AAAS therapists help elderly people lead more productive, active, safe and independent lives through the use of home modification, adaptive equipment and retraining.Therapists at OTS: AAAS have worked closely with clients in their homes, community, hospitals, and in residential care facilities.
In the home environment, we assess the home for environmental hazards that contribute to falls and suggested modifications that assist the client complete tasks independently and safely.
OTS: AAAS therapists are experts in prescription of equipment which will advocate and support for the elderly client to live independently where possible. Equipment items such as electric beds, recliners, wheelchairs, motorised scooters, bathroom equipment and other equipment are all regularly trailed and used.
